Introduction
Because movies are imported from multiple source, duplicates can occur in the database and calendar. Movix tries to fix these automatically, but Movix admins can also merge them by dragging and dropping a movie onto another in the calendar.
If two Movies are too far apart to be able to drag and drop them onto each other, change the release date of one to be closer to the other.
When merging two movies together, release, re-release dates and posters are not taken into account. These attributes will be defined by the movie on which you merge.
Split merged movies
The movie merged into another is permanently deleted from the database. The only trace left is its title, which is now an alternate title of the resulting movie. To undo a merging, head to the edit screen of the movie and click on the pair of scissors next to the alternate title. Movix will then create a new movie with the same data as the former parent one, but with the former alternate title as main title.
