Introduction
Movix imports movies from a lot of different sources. Much like movies, these sources have different countries of origin. These sources are also maintained by humans, who add and update the movies in it. These are all reasons why a movie can have different titles, and why these titles can have different spellings and misspellings.
One of Movix’ most important jobs is therefore to try to match these differently written titles to the same and correct movie. Titles like AVANT-PREMIÈRE : GODZILLA II KING OF THE MONSTERS *3D or Tunnelen (Tunnel, The) are not uncommon.

- Main title: Tunnelen
- Alternative title 1: Tunnelen (Tunnel, the)
- Alternative title 2: The Tunnel
Solaris (Restored version)
- Main title: Solaris
- Alternative title: Solaris (Restored version)
Weird titles
For some import sources, movie titles can contain information other than the title itself or a variation or translation of it. You will find suffixes referring to a distribution country, for example “(LUX)” or even “(Luxembourg Only!)”, or to a type of screening like in “The Matrix – 4dx”. You can correct these in the same way as other titles. However if you repeatedly see the same type of information in different titles, it may be good to contact us.
